Brother of Tim Tebow Gets DUI Charge Reduced to Speeding Ticket
Former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow's brother was charged with a DUI back with the polarizing player and outspoken evangelist played for Denver in 2011.
According to recent reports from TMZ, Peter Tebow was miraculously let off the hook. Instead of charging him with the DUI, he was reportedly only given a speeding ticket for driving only 20-25 mph over the limit.
TMZ initial story claimed Tim's brother Peter was driving 45 mph over the speed limit in the city on an early June morning. Peter was allegedly driving in between two lanes of traffic.
Upon being pulled over by the police and being visibly and audibly inebriated Peter confessed to taking 2 pill of Percocet in the morning and afternoon. Though the cop reportedly could smell alcohol on Tebow, NFL star's brother was not required to take a BAC or sobriety test at the time.
The 26-year old originally arrested and taken into custody, where he was then charged with a DUI. Eventually by the power of Tebow, Peter was acquitted of all but the speeding charge which amounted to a simple feeof only $276.
I guess Tebow is a perfect example of the advantages of having friends in high places.
