The Raptors look to continue their winning ways when they battle their Atlantic division rivals the Brooklyn Nets this weekend. The Raptors lost to the New York Knicks 95-92 last night in the final game of the season.
Kyle Lowry totaled 22 points and 5 assists in a losing effort for the Raptors. Now the Raptors look to defeat the Brooklyn Nets' powerful offense led by All-Stars Deron Williams, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Brook Lopez. The Toronto Raptors have never won an NBA title so far.
"This is huge. When I first got here that was one of my biggest goals, to get this team back to the playoffs and I'm happy to be there," said Raptors point guard Lowry to reporters. "But, I'm not satisfied. I want to make some noise and show that we're a good team."
The Nets are trying to defeat the Raptors on the road when they take a trip to Canada. The Nets lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers by the score of 114-84 yesterday. Andray Blatche totaled 20 points and 12 assists in a losing effort for the Nets last. Like the Raptors, The Nets have never won an NBA championship.
"I like right where we are," said rookie Nets head coach Jason Kidd to reporters. "A good place. We've been playing some pretty good basketball of late. We've rested and guys have gotten their work in at the same time of healing some of the injuries they've had...some nicks and bruises healed. Now it's time to figure out a way to win a game on the road."
Saturday's game will start at 12:30 p.m. ET and can be watched on TV on the TNT network or online through live stream by clicking here.
