Britney Spears New Alien Song Video Leaked Online, Bad BillBoard Charts Lead To Poor Sales
The ever-controversial legendary pop princess Britney Spears did it again. This time with an allegedly leaked and less-liked raw version of her song, "Alien," from her latest album Britney Jean.
The unofficial version of the song which has kept social media abuzz for days now, was released sans Auto-Tune, an audio processor popularly known and used by leading recording industries worldwide to rectify pitch and problems in vocal timing without compromising the singer's original overtone and expression (one can think of it as the "Photoshop" of voice recordings).
According to E! Online, Spears' music producer, William Orbit, came to the once-again embattled pop icon's defense by issuing an official statement on his Facebook account.
In his statement, Orbit affirmed that it is fundamental for every professional singer to perform vocalizations at the start of each session, most especially the lengthy ones, just as it is in the case of a runner to do sets of stretches before he actually runs. Orbit maintained that the unedited version of the song was part of Spears' vocalization and was not meant to be shared with the public.
Meanwhile, Britney Jean, the singer's eighth album, did not do as well as predicted. The singer's self-titled album was launched in November 2013 and sales have significantly dropped in just a fortnight after its release, leaving many disappointed.
Billboard has initially coined the album to reach the top of the chart on the Billboard 200 during its week of release. However, when it debuted at number four, the sales for the album began to plummet. Overall, Britney Jean is said to have the worst sales performance in the pop star's career.
Britney has recently released her Piece of Me Vegas Program Book on her official website which was made available to her fans as of July 7th of this year.
