Britney Spears announced that she is dating producer and writer Charlie Ebersol, two months after her split from boyfriend Dave Lucado.

On Wednesday, the 32-year old singer opened up about her budding new romance with producer and writer Charlie Ebersol, son of 'Saturday Night Live' co-founder Dick Ebersol.

"Yes, there is a special someone. It's very new," the "Oops I Did It Again!" singer said in an interview with 'Jersey Shore' alum Pauly D.

Moreover, Extra reported that the songstress received the key to the Las Vegas Strip at an event celebrating her, and claiming Nov. 5 as "Britney Day" in Sin City.

Thousands of fans attended the event at The LINQ Promenade, near Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas where Spears had been performing for almost a year now.

E! News reported that the "Baby One More Time" singer and Ebersol, 31 first met through mutual friends, and have been dating for a 'few weeks.'

"He is the sweetest guy ever and they are very much enjoying getting to know one another," an insider from Daily Mail reveals.

"They are both very happy and having fun. It's just the beginning so no idea if it will become serious but right now they are having a lot of fun together," the source adds.

Furthermore, a source told People the couple "are taking it slow" as Spears continues her "Piece of Me" show at Planet Hollywood.

Ebersol, who is the son of 'Saturday Night Live' co-founder Dick Ebersol, has been silent about the relationship, though he does follow the singer on Twitter.

Coincidentally, Ebersol is famous for his TV Series, 'The Moment' which "helped men and women get a second chance on their career dreams."

As it stands, fans of Britney Spears are happy that she has founding someone to make her happy in her life.
