David Ford will hit the road in the UK and Ireland this coming March and will announce U.S. Summer tour dates soon (tour dates below).

Producer James Brown (hot off the heels of Dave Grohl's most recent Sound City project and a big fan of David's music), agreed to produce and mix the new album on his kitchen table in Brooklyn, NY for the price of a few pizzas. Charge sees Ford taking a more muscular approach to his sound than in previous work and showcase the influence of travelling across the United States.  The sound can be heard in both the lyrical content of the songs largely influenced by his radio diet of Memphis Soul, New Orleans jazz and New Jersey rock n roll.

David Ford began his career in 2001 as guitarist, singer and songwriter for the band Easyworld releasing two albums on Jive before disbanding in 2004. As a solo artist, he has released four albums to date, two of which were named "Album of The Year" in both The Sunday Times and Word Magazine. David has toured the world opening for such artists as KT Tunstall, Gomez, Elvis Costello, Ingrid Michaelson and Ray LaMontagne and he has played the UK Latitude Festival, Bonnaroo and Austin City Limits. Ford has performed on Last Call With Carson Daly and Sun Studio Sessions.  His music has been featured in various films and television shows.  He has also received rave reviews, The Guardian called him "unmissable.....one of Britain's best." The ultimate DIY artist, Ford has triumphed on his own and recently he wrote the book I Choose This - How to Nearly Make it in the Music Industry. The book details the most illuminating stories of his 10 year life as a full time songwriter and musician
