‘The Bridge’ Season 3 Renewal News: Cast Drops Spoilers of Third Installment During Interviews
While the FX drama series, 'The Bridge', aired its second season finale on Wednesday, fans are looking for news about an upcoming Season 3. Despite fan based demand, there has been no official confirmation from the network or the show's producers about another installment.
However. reports say, that a renewal for Season 3 is likely because of what the show's actors said in some recent interviews.
Diane Kruger, who plays Detective Sonya Cross in the show, hinted about the possibility of third season, when she mentioned that there have been discussions about including the recent stories regarding the borders to the show.
"I was talking to Elwood about this. I don't know if-you know, we're at episode 11, so I'm not sure that we're going to be able to incorporate it this season, but if we should get a Third Season, I think there is definitely a place for that," Kruger told The Gazette.
The 'National Treasure' actress also added that the recent events on the borders give the show more stories to tell.
"It's just actually amazing that while we're in production how much happens at those borders. I mean we could probably go on for 10 seasons and have stories to tell of people's crazy journeys. It's definitely been discussed," said Kruger.
Similar to Kruger, Franka Potente, who plays villain Eleanor Nacht, also left some hints that there's going to be a 'The Bridge' Season 3.
When asked about the possible death of her character in the second season finale, Potente revealed that she hopes her character will not die, since she wants to return for her role.
"I hope I don't die. I can keep doing this for years," the 'Run Lola Run' actress told Zap2It.
