‘Breaking Bad’ Season 6 Hoax: Report About AMC Hit Series is Not True
An article published recently by Nation Report.net said that the highly-acclaimed crime drama television series 'Breaking Bad' will be returning for its sixth season on AMC and that the cast and crew of the show will commence filming in January 2015. However, to the disappointment of many, it all turned out to be one big hoax.
The fake report read, "Breaking Bad fans around the world are celebrating the stunning, glorious and amazing news announced today: Walter White is not dead, and there will indeed be a sixth season of the wildly-popular, award-winning AMC drama."
What's surprising is that the article quoted statements reportedly issued by the show creator Vince Gilligan and its lead actor Bryan Cranston (Walter White). Apparently, the article shows that both Gilliagan and Cranston confirmed the news in the fraudulent report Season 6.
The article quotes Vince Gilligan purportedly saying, "We've kept it under wraps for months, now the cat's out of the bag. Season 6 is coming, and it's going to be epic and true to the fans that have followed the show so incessantly."
Going a step further, the article quoted Bryan Cranston allegedly talking about his character in Season 6. The award-winning actor is quoted as saying, "Hey, you never saw bags zip up or anything. Or say ... you know."
In order to substantiate their claims regarding 'Breaking Bad' Season 6, the publishers also included a picture of what seemed to be a script for the first episode of 'Breaking Bad' Season 6. It was titled "The Phoenix."
Unavoidably, several thousand fans of 'Breaking Bad' believed the article to be true and began sharing it on their social media, facilitating it to gain traction.
