'Breaking Bad' Star Bryan Cranston to Play Lex Luther in Upcoming 'Man of Steel' Sequel / Matt Damon as Aquaman?

If Miley Cyrus's VMAs 2013 performance wasn't enough to get the world off of the "Ben Affleck is the new Batman" topic, this may just do the trick.

Bryan Cranston is set to play Lex Luther in the highly anticipated Man of Steel sequel. If you were worried the final episodes of Breaking Bad Season 5 part 2 would be the last time you'd see Cranston think again.

At this point, Cranston might as well just shave his head for real. The biggest roles of his career have all been hairless characters.

According to Cosmic Book News, the site that broke the news, reports Cranston has agreed to terms to appear six times in the DC Comics movies. Similar to Nick Fury [Samuel L. Jackson] in Joss Whedon's The Avengers, the site believes Cranston's role will help tie together storylines in the DC Universe.

While Ben Affleck received a barrage of criticism for his upcoming take on the Batman franchise, the decision to cast Cranston has met universal praise.

The website also reports Warner Bros. is interested in Matt Damon possibly being cast as Aquaman or Martian Manhunter.

Warner Bros. is going to have to shell out a lot of nickels to get a star of Damon's caliber to play Aquaman.

Along with his flagship role on Breaking Bad, Cranston starred in early 2000s comedy Malcom in the Middle along with smaller guest spots on popular TV shows like How I Met Your Mother and Seinfeld.
