Brazil proceeds to the Quarter-Finals round of the 2014 FIFA World Cup tournament after beating Chile in a hard fought match by 1-1 (Brazil won 3-2 on penalty kicks) in the "Round of 16" stage. Brazil superstar Neymar scored the deciding goal in the shootout on June 28.
"We had a good first half and created a lot of chances. After the equalizer Chile came into the game and made life hard for us. All we can do is thank the fans and our team-mates for keeping the faith. There's huge pressure in representing our country, and it was tough on a psychological and emotional level. I got very emotional four years ago, and today I was crying again, but this time out of happiness. Not many people know what I've been through, but I knew my international career wasn't over. We've got three more steps to go now and I want to see Brazil celebrating. That's my big dream," said Brazilian goalie Julio Cesar to reporters after his side's recent victory.
Colombia is attempting to eliminate Brazil in front of Brazil's passionate fans in their upcoming match-up.
Colombia recently defeated Uruguay 2-0 on Saturday. James RodrÃguez scored both goals for Colombia in order for his squad to advance to the Quarter-Finals stage of the World Cup.
"It's historic, a dream come true: I always wanted to score in the Maracana and now I have. If you want to win, every player is important. Uruguay had a lot of men behind the ball, so we needed plenty of movement up front and we got it. Now things are going to get even harder, but we can go far," said RodrÃguez to reporters after the game.
The game will begin at 4 p.m. ET and can be watched on TV on the ESPN network or online through live stream by clicking here.
