Brandon Heath's 'Blue Mountain' Album, Touring & K-LOVE Awards Nominations

Brandon Heath was recently nominated for Artist of the Year at the first annual Christian  K-LOVE fan awards.

The awards ceremony will be held in Nashville and the voting time period will shortly be ending on June 1st, for those who want to still vote for their favorite Christian artists.

Brandon Heath is a Christian artist born right out of Nashville, that began his career as a musician at a young age. His solo debut album was released in 2004 called Early Stuff, from there he has released three more records.

His latest album Blue Mountains was released back in 2012 and has a powerful conception of Life and humanity.

The two time GMA Male Vocalist and five time GRAMMY nominee, releases some of Christian musics most inspiring anthems. His soulful charm and warm personality has gotten Heath a respectable fan base that keep earning him top positions on the charts.

His fourth studio album has an accumulation of songs that tell a story with his pop genre and Nashville country roots. "I like to write story songs and I like characters. I wanted to create characters but I needed a framework" stated Heath on his latest album.

Heath also stated that he read somewhere that some people were like Blue Mountains. "In The distance they are mysterious and majestic, and you cant touch them, but you realize they are just brown and green. For some reason that got my mind going. So I started writing songs about different characters. Yet, what I realized while writing this record about different characters, it was not about them, it was about me."

In recording Blue Mountain, Heath worked with famed artists as Deana Carter, Barry Dean, Luke Laird, and Lee Thomas Miller. The album recorded in the Blue Mountains of Asheville, North Carolina. "We rented a cabin and lived there for 10 days while we worked on this album, it was pretty cool." stated Heath.

Blue Mountain debuted at No. 5 on the Top Christian Charts and No.97 on Billboard 200 charts.

There is still plenty of time to vote for Brandon to win the award for Artists of the year. He has many top artists that are also behind him waiting to see the final contestants for K-LOVE.

Also, this summer Brandon will be featured at many festival across the country including: Fish Fest Sacramento, Black Swamp Benefit Jam, Lykins Park and Festival of the Bells.
