Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie New Movie Together: ‘Maleficent’ Star ‘Thinks About’ New Film With Pitt [TRAILER VIDEO]
It's been almost 10 years since Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt shot their film together in Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005). While the Hollywood A-listers are busy with their own careers - Pitt on directorial and acting jobs, and Jolie with humanitarian works - the couple is considering going back on the big screen together.
In a Maleficent event last week, the Brangelina tandem told media that they are mulling over an onscreen reunion, but no definite plans were announced as of yet.
But contrary to their initial statement, the 38-year-old Jolie also recently said that acting is "going to be taking more of a back seat" as she prefers focusing more on her work as an ambassador for the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees and the Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative.
"I'm sure there will be a few more films. But I am happy I am able to be selective and have fun with characters like this but I would like to focus on writing and directing and above all I would like to focus more on my work with the U.N. and PSVI," Jolie said in a press conference Friday, held at Hollywood and Highland Center, California.
Currently, Jolie is busy promoting her latest Walt Disney film Maleficent, which will have its initial release on May 28 in Europe.
A mother of six, Angelina said she enjoyed her character that explores the dark side in the Cinderella's story.
"It was like being a kid again when I got the script. Maleficent is actually someone who I did in the end like. I think for everybody, there's a side of us that would like to be completely free and use our voice to the fullest and have as a big a laugh as possible, and she was that character for me," Jolie said, according to The Guardian.
