In a recent statement issued to Phil Boxing, Pacquiao has said that the highly-anticipated fight could occur sometime next year, probably around Spring or Fall.

Meanwhile, sources have asserted that Showtime is gearing up for Mayweather's upcoming fight, as it is expected to generate profits as well as earn back the investments they have made on Mayweather.

Even as this news has thrilled the fans of the world's two biggest boxing champs, it has been learned that Pacquiao is mainly concentrating on his ensuing match with American boxer Chris Algieri. Referring to the November event, Pacquiao said, "But right now, I would like to focus on the Algieri fight."

On the other hand, Mayweather's uncle talking about his nephews upcoming prospective opponents.

In a statement issued recently to On the Ropes Boxing, Jeff Mayweather said, "At the end of the day, Pacquiao has a fight in front of him and he has to win, and if he wins then it becomes a reality, the possibility of (Mayweather vs Pacquiao) happening can become a reality," adding, "But, other than that, it won't happen."

As far as Pacquiao's team is concerned, the Filipino boxer's head trainer Freddie Roach has supposedly been worn out by the outrage brought on by Mayweather's camp, for instance drug test controversies and television network issues.

What's more, the five-division world champ's side has accused Pacquiao's camp for not allowing their fight to take place.

Sky Sports quoted Pacuiao as saying, "The possibility to fight with him, you know, the question is not for us." The Filipino boxer is also reported to have said, "It's for them because any time we are willing to fight, any time. I think that question belongs to them, their camp."

Meanwhile, Top Rank boss and promoter Bob Arum told the Telegraph, "There is only now one impediment and he's been the major impediment to this fight and that's Floyd Mayweather."
