The Boston Marathon finish line should be time of rejoicing and celebration of huge accomplishment, but today it turned into a horrific crime scene.  

Reports have differed from one to three hours since the first person crossed the finish line when two explosions went off just seconds apart.  The blast itself, along with shrapnel and the use of ball bearings inside the explosives has led to over 100 injuries and many amputations of limbs, mostly legs as doctors have had to think fast in order to save the lives of the victims flooding into the hospitals around Boston.  

Tragic news has just confirmed that an 8 year old boy has died from the explosions.  In a tragic irony, it is said that the boy was here running the marathon on behalf of Sandy Hook elementary.  Sandy Hook suffered a horrific mass shooting last year.  

While only 2 explosives went off, another was found and detonated safely by authorities.  At least two other explosives are reported to have been found, but no official word yet.  

There is no official word on if they are calling this a terrorist act yet, but the area is on lock down and authorities are trying to make sense of everything at this point.
