The Chicago Blackhawks can either win two straight games against the Detroit Red Wings or take an extended offseason. With the season on the line, the Blackhawks played with energetic desperation Saturday night against the Red Wings. It paid off.

"It felt like we had nothing to lose going into Game 5," Viktor Stalberg of the Chicago Blackhawks said Monday. "We wanted to take a chance and if we can get momentum on our side and get rolling a little bit, we know they're going to feel the pressure, especially tonight closing it out in front of their fans.

Though the bottom seeded Red Wings have played with extraordinary poise and skill in the 2013 NHL Playoffs, thus far, many believe the Blackhawks are finally ready to take the series back. The Red Wings are talented, but also young and inexperienced. If the Red Wings can't close out this series in Detroit, it could spell disaster for their chances on the road in Chicago.

Yes Gustav Nyquist and Brendan Smith have played phenomenal in this series, but as you get deeper into the series you rely on veterans not youngsters.
