The Chicago Blackhawks jumped out to an early beating the L.A. Kings in the opening game of the 2013 Western Conference Finals. During last year's run to the Stanley Cup, the L.A. Kings went 10-1 on the road. They are now 1-6 on the road in this postseason.

For periods at a time, L.A. seemed like they couldn't keep up with the Blackhawks' speed on the ice. The Blackhawks stayed disciplined and played an overall smarter game than the Kings.

Though Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick has been nothing short of magical in the 2013 NHL playoffs, he gave up two goals [in 36 shots] against the Blackhawks on Saturday. Only against a goalie like Quick, can a team brag about 2 goals. Neither of the goals were even Quick's fault. One came from an easy rebound after a pretty good first save. The other goal came with a lot of traffic in front of the goal, blocking Quick's vision.

In close to 24 minutes of ice time, Blackhawks' Duncan Keith was a breakout player in Game 1. Keith had an assist, 5 shots and 2 blocked shots, playing a big part in only allowing the Kings one goal.

Tune in to see if the Kings can tie up the series against the Blackhawks in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals 2013. Game time starts at 7:00 PM CT on NBCSP.
