Talk about a tough act to follow. Both, the Boston Bruins and Chicago Blackhawks rose to the occasion in a memorable Game 1 that went in to triple overtime. Still Boston squandered a two-goal lead giving the Blackhawks the edge going into Game 2. Crossing over sports, the game felt similar to the Heat-Pacers series in the NBA postseason.
In this unique 2013 NHL season, this series is the first time teams from the Eastern and Western conference face off against one another, due to the lockout.
The Boston Bruins have been in this situation before. In the 2011 Stanley Cup Finals, the Bruins were down 2 games to nothing to the Vancouver Canucks and still came back for the win. The Bruins have to continue to play their style of game regardless of what the Blackhawks throw their way. If the Bruins can win Game 2 tonight and split the series, they can return to Boston and possibly take the lead.
Bruins manager Claude Julien confirmed to the media, Bruins forward Nathan Horton's upper body injury is day-to-day and is optimistic he'll be ready for Game 2 tonight. Horton has been dealing with the injury since April 20th leading many to believe he'll miss Game 2.
Tune in tonight to see if the Bruins can steal a game on the road from the Chicago Blackhawks in Game 2 of the 2013 Stanley Cup Finals at 8:05 PM ET on NBC Sports Network.
