Blackberry Passport Gold Edition Release Date, Leaked Photos: Version Features New Luxury Trim

A new Blackberry Passport Gold Edition has been seen in leaked images that have been posted online. The device has apparently adopted a new luxurious look, as it has been trimmed with gold around the edges.

The Blackberry Passport released onto the market last year and boasts a Quad-core 2.26 GHz Krait 400 and an Adreno 330 GPU. The device has 3GB RAM with built-in memory of 32GB that's expandable up to 128 GB via microSD.

Its display is made of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and measures 4.5 inches with a resolution of 1440 x 1440 pixels.

The leaked images of the Blackberry Passport Gold Edition stem from the Crackberry website. It's important to note that it does not look like the device has been manufactured by the Canada-based tech company, but has been altered after it was put together.

The images have led many to believe that Paris Rose Gold, a firm known for manufacturing luxurious editions of popular handsets for other companies, is behind the Blackberry Passport Gold Edition

While it does not look like Blackberry will be releasing this version of the Passport after all, they have done something similar in the past. As techies can recall, Blackberry released a Gold Edition of the BlackBerry Q10 last year.

As it stands, while there is no official word from the Canadian tech dynamo, there's still a chance that a Blackberry Passport Gold Edition will be put out on the market.
