'Black Panther' Marvel Movie Cast News, Rumors: 'Avengers' Robert Downey Jr and Chris Evans Reveal Star's Identity [VIDEO]

In latest Marvel movie news, 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' stars Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans recently revealed the identity of the man who will be playing as the Black Panther in upcoming film based on the popular comic book character.

Downey officially made the blockbuster announcement on October 28, saying that Chadwick Boseman of 'Get on Up' and '42' fame will star as the ruler of the fictional African nation named Wakanda.

"I'm blessed to be a part of this Marvel Universe, and to work with you both, and I look forward to making magic together," said Boseman said to his future co-stars Robert Downey, Jr. (Iron Man) and Chris Evans (Captain America) at the Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 3 event.

Marvel President Kevin Feige explained why the future Avenger will make his cinematic debut in the latest installment in 'Captain America' movie franchise.

"Black Panther and all of Wakanda is one of the most interesting characters in Marvel history," said Marvel boss Kevin Feige.

"Something I already showed you today contains an Easter egg that leads directly into 'Black Panther.' He's a bit of a prince, he may even become a bit of a king, but it's all about how this isolationist country meets the world. Maybe it goes well, maybe it doesn't."

The third Captain America film appears to be based on the epic comic book 'Civil War' storyline, which depicts Marvel Superheroes, Iron Man and Captain America, on opposing sides after the U.S. government passes a Superhero Registration Act, where the protagonists have to make a decision whether or not to reveal their respective identities.

"Well, Iron Man, Captain America, as much as I respect you both....as much as I respect you both, Black Panther is kind of his own guy. So I'm not going to decide today. In all seriousness, I'm blessed to be part of this Marvel Universe and I'm looking forward to making magic together," says Boseman to Downey Jr. and Evans regarding whose side his character will choose in upcoming film.

The 'Captain America: Civil War' film will arrive in theaters on May 6, 2016, while the 'Black Panther' movie is expected to debut in the big screen on November 3, 2017.
