‘Black Box’ Season 2 Renewed or Canceled? ABC Yet to Announce Decision

'Black Box' Season 1 concluded on July 24 with a two-hour season finale, but despite its consistently average ratings, ABC has yet to announce whether or not the show is up for renewal.

Based on ratings released by The Nielsen Company, 'Black Box' garnered a 5.36% increase on its viewership for its two-part finale "The Fear" and "Consequence."

Unfortunately, the superb performance remains inadequate to recover from consistent loses the show had after its pilot episode. A week prior to the July 24 episode, 'Black Box' had an unfortunate -27.33% change in viewership among age 18 to 49 audiences.

The show, which first debuted on April 24, tackles the story of Dr. Catherine Black (Kelly Reilly), a brilliant neuroscientist who is suffers from bipolar disorder, but would do anything to keep it a secret.

Other actors from the show include Ditch Davey (Dr Ian Bickman), David Ajala (Will Van Renseller), Ali Wong (Dr Lina Lark), David Chisum (Joshua Black), Siobhan Williams (Esme Black), and Terry Kinney (Dr Owen Morely) among others.

'Black Box' airs on ABC every Thursday night at 9:00 PM EST, the same time-slot as 'Hell's Kitchen' (FOX), 'The Big Bang Theory' and 'The Millers' (CBS), and 'Hollywood Game Night' (NBC).
