The BET network has announced there will be a new series premiering called, "T.D. Jakes Presents: Mind, Body & Soul".  It will be a Sunday talk show hosted by the spiritual leader Jakes with special guests.  

Bishop T.D. Jakes, the popular and charismatic senior pastor at The Potter's House in Dallas,Texas.  T. D. Jakes' church services are broadcast on The Potter's Touch, which airs on the Trinity Broadcasting Network, Black Entertainment Television, the Daystar Television Network, The Word Network and The Miracle Channel in Canada.  Other aspects of Jakes' ministry include being an accomplished other of several books and putting on an annual revival called "MegaFest" that draws more than 100,000 people.  

The statement from the BET website states, "BET brings better talk with spiritual leader, educator and humanitarian Bishop T.D. Jakes as host of a brand-new talk show. Covering a wide range of topics including health and wellness, finance and relationships, Bishop Jakes unearths deeper conversations on the topics that matter to Black America. The areas of wellness, love and relationships deserve better conversations and deeper insights. Count on Bishop T.D. Jakes to provide plenty of both every Sunday."  

Executive Producer for the new series "T.D. Jakes Presents: Mind, Body & Soul"  will be Marilyn H. Gill. 

Back inn the fall of 2009, Jakes was in talks of launching a secular daily talk show, syndicated through the CBS Television Distribution group.  Due to economic issues with the company though, the show never got developed.  So Bishop Jakes will get a chance to host now with his new show on BET.  

BET has unveiled several upcoming projects during that will hit the TV network soon, including new series featuring Gabrielle Union called "Being Mary Jane" and a talk show hosted by T.D. Jakes among others.
