Billy Joe Armstrong, lead singer of Green Day and Norah Jones have become an unlikely pair to release an album of duet songs, but it is coming true. The punk rock superstar and the sultry jazz singer are bringing their unique styles together to pay homage to a classic record.

The two Grammy Award winning singer/songwriters are releasing an album of classic folk songs titled Foreverly based off of the Everly Brothers Songs Our Daddy Taught Us album.

They have released their first single titled "Long Time Gone" and their voices surprisingly sound really great together (listen to song below).

"I thought it would be cool to remake the record because I thought it was sort of an obscure thing and more people should know about it, but I really wanted to do it with a woman singing because I thought it would take on a different meaning - maybe broaden the meaning a little bit - as compared to hearing the songs being sung by the two brothers," said Billy Joe about the new album.

The album officially releases next week, November 25th.
