With the close of Big Bang Theory Season 7, fans are eager to see the wedding between Leonard and Penny, and see how Raj's new love interest will turn out. Additionally, rumors have it that Lisa Kudrow will appear in Season 8 as Penny's mother.

It is reported that the fans were delighted with how Season 7 ended. Leonard and Penny have been in a very confusing love affair since the show started and there was no certainty on whether or not they would end up together, but with their engagement, fans became relieved.

Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting Told TVLine that the wedding will definitely happen on Season 8, "If I could write it myself, I think Leonard will me more of the bride, because I think it would be funny if he were the planner," said Cuoco-Sweeting.

She also said that Penny is not really suited to plan the wedding and that the "wedding planning" should be given to Leonard, "Penny is so aloof, she'd be a lot more easy-going than Leonard," added the actress.

But, there's an even more interesting twist as it is reported that Penny's mother could finally appear on the show.

In the same interview with TVLine, Cuoco-Sweeting said there is a possibility that Lisa Kudrow will be Penny's mother.

"I don't know what they're going to do, but I have always thought - and I hope this doesn't offend her (Lisa Kudrow) because I know she's super young, though we know Penny's mom got knocked up very early, -- that Lisa Kudrow would be so perfect. I've said that for years. I think it would be hilarious, plus I'm a huge fan of hers, so it's a selfish wish," she said.

Season 8 of the Big Bang Theory will premiere on September 22.
