People are constantly accusing Beyoncé and Jay Z of occult practices because of their choice of artistic expression. The power couple's recent purchase of a New Orleans Church to renovate into their latest home has added more fuel to that claim as many now accuse them of turning God's house into a "satanic temple."

ET reported over the weekend that the stars purchased the former Presbyterian Church in the Garden District of New Orleans. The church was sold for $2.6 million under the name of Sugarcane Park LLC, which is the same mailing address as Beyoncé's management company.

The Brooklyn native rapper is often pegged or grouped in as being a member of the Freemason's, Illuminati, or Five Percent Nation. His wife, R&B singer Beyoncé, has never shied away from mentioning God throughout the years of her career. On songs with Destiny's Child, she occasionally sings a few gospel numbers and continues to do songs as heard in the latest Michelle Williams single "Say Yes."

The purchase of the 10,000-square-foot Spanish baroque has many believing that the couple is not revering God's house by purchasing it for themselves. Upon seeing the reports of the Carter's new home people on the Internet began accusing them of intentionally doing it because it was a church.

"They will transform it a Satanist temple," one wrote.

Another said, "You don't live in a church unless you are a preacher period."

Someone else bluntly said, "So it is going to go from being a Church, a house of worship, to Satan's Temple." Many shared in this sentiment but according to ET the church was also once used as a ballet school.

Not everyone accused the couple's intentions though, a commenter wrote, "Don't judge...God changes people ...Amen!"
