There will be several albums coming our way in the New Year for 2014, with new music from Switchfoot, Casting Crowns, Michael W Smith, Kutless, Jamie Grace and more. 

Music lovers saw a lot of great music released in 2013, but now they are anxious to hear what's around the bend in Christian/Gospel music for 2014. Newreleasetuesday.com has reported a flood of great albums coming in the near future from some fan favorites. Below is a list of just of few of the upcoming releases.

American Idol finalist Colton Dixon released his debut album "A Messenger" in January 2013. Quickly making him one of the bestselling artists in Christian music. Because of the exceptional success of A Messenger he is now releasing the Expanded Edition of A Messenger coming January 7, 2014 on Capital Records.

Fan favorite alternative rock band Switchfoot is releasing its latest record "Fading West." The album was inspired by the band's travels of the world during their 2012 tour. Switchfoot has been very successful at having Christian content in their music while crossing over into mainstream music.

Gospel Singer J. moss is scheduled to release his 6th studio album, "The Very Best Of" on Provident Records. This compilation of the singer's best records through the years is scheduled for release January 21, 2014.

On the 11^th of February the Christian rock band Kutless is releasing its new record, however, the name of the album is still yet to be anonuced. It will feature "You Alone," which is currently charting at AC Indicator and Hot AC/CHR. This will be the bands 8^th album.

January 28, 2014 is a big day for new Christian music releases with an array of artists releasing on the same day.

Christian Contemporary band Casting Crowns is releasing its much-anticipated album "Thrive." Thrive comes more than two years since their last highly acclaimed album. Christian radio has been greatly publicizing the release of the album. Its 1^st single All You've Ever Wanted is on full rotation.

Very successful worship collaborators Israel Houghton and New Breed are scheduled to release a playlist of the Best Of.

And CCMs sweetheart Jamie Grace is releasing her sophomore album "Ready to Fly." Newreleasetuesday says Ready To Fly showcases Jamie Grace at a critical point in her career.

One of 2014's most anticipated films, "God's Not Dead" is releasing the motion picture soundtrack. The Soundtrack is coming in March featuring various artists such as Newsboys, Superchick, Jimmy Needham, Stellar Kart, Tricia Brock, JJ Weeks Band, Manic Drive and instrumental score by composer Will Musser. WOW Hits 2014 is scheduled for a September release, featuring 30 Christian Artists and their Hit Songs.

New Year's morning legendary crooner Michael W. Smith posted on his Facebook page that he too would be releasing music in the near future.

 "Reflecting on 2013, while looking forward to 2014... New music coming your way soon! Hope everyone has a happy, safe, and blessed beginning to 2014!" he posted.
