This app rounds up the most important news events and breaks each one into bite-sized snippets, which allows one to see the latest updates before scrolling down to read more of the story.

Convert Pad
It's a unit conversion app that's loaded with almost everything, from weight and distance, to energy flux, and radiation absorbed dose. It also does currency conversions as well as keeps itself up to date on exchange rates.
