Battlefield 4 Windows PC Update Arrives; Patch Causes Some Gamers to Experience More Problems
Battlefield 4 has a new Windows PC update today, which is set to improve general stability, Mantle performance, and other issues. However, yet again, gamers are complaining the update is causing problems for people who did not have any in the first place.
According to the BattleLog forum, the patch is supposed to fix gunner seat changes in an IFV/MBT that would lead to problems. Defuse Mode problems with bombs and other glitches are to be fixed as well. Kill cards, missing sounds in Deathmatch, Mantle crashes, and memory leak are also said to be addressed.
A commenter on Polygon sarcastically made a remark about the new update making his game worse.
"You forgot the best fix in this patch: Fixed a bug where some players where able to complete entire rounds without crashing, game now crashes at least once every match," said Sandweed.
The update will eventually make its way to PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and One, reported Polygon.
Battlefield 4's Second Assault DLC will be available on Feb. 18 for the Premium Subscribers of the game on the PS3, PS4, and Xbox 360, and WIndows PC.
According to Polygon, the game will launch for everyone else on March 3.
The DLC will contain four popular maps from Battlefield 3, and they will be remade for the new graphics engine of this game.
The next DLC is Naval Strike, which will be available toward the end of March. Polygon reported it will feature four more maps, new weapons, and vehicles.
Initially there was no official announcement made by DICE or EA concerning the DLC, but early this month the company said they would halt any DLC's or future expansions until they were able to fix some of the problems of the game.
