Battlefield 4 Update: DICE LA to Now Run Remaining, DLC's 'Dragon's Teeth' and 'Final Stand' Announces EA

EA announced that their developer DICE will be handing over all Battlefield 4 DLC's from their Swedish office to their Los Angeles office.

"DICE LA works closely with the DICE studio in Stockholm on Battlefield 4," an EA representative told Polygon. "Development of Battlefield 4 Second Assault was led by DICE LA and the studio will continue to lead on future expansion packs including Battlefield 4 Dragon's Teeth and Battlefield 4 Final Stand."

The Naval Strike expansion will be the last Stockholm office ran DLC for the game. This move is perhaps to try and solve all of the game's bugs, errors, and glitches. DICE Stockholm had originally delayed all DLC's until they were able right the ship.

"First, we want to thank the fans out there that are playing and supporting us with Battlefield 4," an EA spokesperson told Polygon. "We know we still have a ways to go with fixing the game - it is absolutely our No. 1 priority. The team at DICE is working non-stop to update the game. Since Battlefield 4 China Rising expansion pack was already in the final stages of development by the time issues began with Battlefield 4, we decided to fulfill our promise to deliver it this week, but we're not moving onto future projects or expansions until we sort out all the issues with Battlefield 4. We know many of our players are frustrated, and we feel their pain. We will not stop until this is right."

DICE just announced that Battlefield 4 will be getting a new DLC called Naval Strike at the end of March.

The expansion pack will bring the game to the South China Sea with new multiplayer maps and a hovercraft vehicles, according to IGN. A new mode called Carrier Assault will be introduced to the game and is essentially a remake of Titan Mode from 2006's Battlefield 2142.

"Battlefield 4 Naval Strike takes the dramatic water-based combat introduced in Battlefield 4 to four all-new maps set in the South China Sea. Take control over new weapons and gadgets, pilot the new hovercraft vehicle, and experience the Carrier Assault game mode in this intense expansion pack. Read on for details and the first official screenshots.," wrote DICE on the Battlefield blog.

Details of Carrier Assault are minimal now, but the classic version of the game focused on controlling anti-Titan missile silos.

"Battlefield 4 Naval Strike lets you re-live the classic Titan Mode of Battlefield 2142, with the introduction of the Carrier Assault game mode. Stay tuned to the Battlefield Blog for more details on this re-imagining of a classic," posted the blog.
