Battlefield 4 Fan Appreciation Month Starts with Double XP Points This Weekend
Battlefield 4 is doubling XP this week as part of DICE's player appreciation month.
EA DICE is running a Player Appreciation Month in February for Battlefield 4 after the gamer's of the FPS have suffered through countless setbacks, errors, and glitches. It will feature Daily Giveaways, Double XP, and Unlockable Features
The video game's Facebook posted that it will begin tomorrow on all of the game's platforms until February 10 at 6 AM EST.
"DICE is saying THANK YOU to all players by hosting a month filled with fun community missions and daily giveaways that you get just for jumping into a match," Battlefield said on their Facebook. "All players will receive 2XP in all ranked matches across all modes the weekend of February 8th."
Battlefield 4 recently released an AMD Mantle patch last week for the Windows PC.
"The biggest performance gains can be seen when the game is bottlenecked by the CPU which can be quite common even on high-end machines and this was main goal to improve on with Mantle," Johan Andersson wrote on BattleLog. "We've also been able to streamline and optimize some of the GPU workload. The end result is that game performance is improved in virtually all scenarios in Battlefield 4 on both Windows 7 and Windows 8 when running with Mantle!"
The mantle AMD chip will improve the graphics of the game, and how they are rendered on the screen.
This patch was supposed to come out in December, but was delayed because of EA's decision to put a stop to all future features of the game until they fixed all of the existing problems.
"In order to use Mantle you will need the following:?-AMD Catalyst 14.1 Beta drivers. ?-AMD Radeon GPU with Graphics Core Next?-64-bit Windows (7, 8 or 8.1)," BattleLog posted.
