Batman vs Superman Movie Release Date, Plot Rumors: 'Man of Steel' Saved by Aquaman Revealed in 'Dawn of Justice'

In latest 'Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice' movie news and rumors, a report reveals how Clark Kent's alter ego will be rescued by his fellow Justice League member Aquaman in the future film.

According to a Meet The Movie Press podcast, a source (who overheard a conversation with WB executives) claims the King of Atlantis made an off-screen cameo, when he sent two whales in order to save an unconscious Clark Kent from drowning in the oil rig scene in the 'Man of Steel' movie last year.

In addition, the insider also told the podcast that Aquaman's future film appearance was described by the executives as a "buff Hawaiian guy covered in tattoos."

However, that revelation regarding the two aforementioned marine mammals and Aquaman's involvement will be finally revealed to Superman (and movie viewers) in the upcoming DC movie.

Previously, film director Zack Snyder defended Aquaman's possible involvement in the film after some critics questioned the importance of the superhero who can communicate with aquatic animals from all over the world.

"The cool thing is that with Aquaman, his trident - people don't realize this - that could actually cut the flesh of Superman, if they came in contact," said Snyder to the 97.1 The Ticket's Stoney and Bill radio show in Detroit last month, "It's not to say that he's in the movie or anything like that but ... he has the potential to be bad a**."

On that note, former 'Game of Thrones' star Jason Momoa has been reportedly signed to play Aquaman in the forthcoming movie.

The new 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' film stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White), Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Tao Okamoto, Scoot McNairy, Callan Mulvey and Oscar Award winning actress Holly Hunter.

The 'Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice' film is expected to arrive in movie theaters on March 25, 2016.
