In the latest Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice film, Ben Affleck's new Batsuit was recently unveiled to the public this week at the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con.

The new Batsuit was displayed for the first time to comic book fans in celebration of the 75^th anniversary of Batman making debut in Detective Comics #27 in May 1939.

Since his debut in the late 1930's, Batman is the only superhero in DC Comics to rival Superman (who debuted in Action Comics #1 in June 1938) in popularity among fans of the long running comic book company.

Along with the new Batsuit that will be worn by the Argo and Good Will Hunting actor (Ben Affleck), the previous Bat costumes worn by Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer and George Clooney from the first four Batman films from 1989-1997 (prior to The Dark Knight trilogy films which starred Christian Bale from 2005-2012) were also unveiled at the event.

Though Batman and Superman have met multiple times in the comic books, video games, and cartoons, the upcoming film will be the first time future Justice League members Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman (who debuted in All Star Comics #8 on December 1941) will finally meet each other on the big screen in order to battle Metropolis' criminal mastermind Lex Luthor and the forces of evil.

The new Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice film stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White), Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Tao Okamoto, Callan Mulvey and Oscar Award winning actress Holly Hunter.

The Batman vs. Superman film is expected to arrive in movie theaters on May 6, 2016.
