Batman vs Superman Movie News, Plot Rumors: Man of Steel Betrayed By People of Metropolis

According to a new report, Superman will be betrayed by the people of Metropolis in the upcoming Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice film.

Batman-News concluded that the film will takes place two years after Superman had stopped his fellow Kryptonian General Zod from taking over the world in the Man of Steel film.

The website also claims that after the Mayor of Metropolis awards the iconic superhero with a statue of his likeness at a ceremony (which includes school children wearing "Superman Survivors" shirts), some of citizens will turn their back on Superman, despite the fact that the Kryptonian has saved their city countless times.

It is very possible that the person responsible for the people of Metropolis' distain toward the Man of Steel could be the cunning villain and businessman Lex Luthor. Luthor has the influence to plant some doubt into the minds of the citizens, which makes Superman out to be a menace who must be stopped at all costs, just like Zod was in the first Man of Steel film.

In addition, Batman-News also claims that the aforementioned Superman statue had to be recoated with paint on the set of the film because there was some graffiti on the statue, which hints that some rowdy citizens are responsible for defacing public property in defiance of Superman and everything he stands for: truth, justice and the American way.

The new Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice film stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White) and Diane Lane (Martha Kent). Additionally, new actors will also appear in the new Warner Bros. movie, including Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Tao Okamoto, Callan Mulvey and Oscar Award winning actress Holly Hunter.

The Batman v. Superman film is slated to arrive in movie theaters on May 6, 2016.
