Batman vs Superman Movie News, Plot Rumors: New DC Character Debuts in Upcoming 'Dawn of Justice' Film

In latest 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' news, it was recently announced that a classic character from DC Comics will finally appear in the upcoming film directed by Zack Snyder.

"Scoot [McNairy] is playing Jimmy Olsen, but with a bit of a twist. Jimmy was injured during the battle of Zod vs Superman. His legs was pinned under a falling building rubble and that caused him to lose the legs. He now walks with the use of two prosthetic legs," according to an unnamed insider on the Devil Eyes website.

The extra also revealed Olsen's feelings towards Superman after he was severely injured in the battle that took place in the first 'Man of Steel,' despite the fact the character was never seen onscreen in the aforementioned film.

The inside went on to mention, "He doesn't blame Superman for it [his loss of legs]. He feels grateful that Superman saved the world."

Previously, McNairy was linked to other notable characters like The Joker, Metallo and future Justice League member, The Flash.

At the San Diego Comic-Con, world famous filmmaker Guillermo Del Toro revealed that he plans to make the 'Justice League Dark' film that would be released in theaters in May 2017.

"We are deep in the screenplay writing phase," said Del Toro at the aforementioned event in late July, according to Ecumenical News, "I think we see eye-to-eye, Warners and DC and myself, on what the movie is. I think it's really, really well served as a movie. Then you can expand it."

The new 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' film stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White), Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Tao Okamoto, Scoot McNairy, Callan Mulvey and Oscar Award winning actress Holly Hunter.

The 'Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice' film is expected to arrive in movie theaters on March 25, 2016.
