Batman vs Superman Movie News: Man of Steel 2 Named ‘Dawn of Justice’; Twitter Photo Shows Ben Affleck in Batsuit
It has been announced that the upcoming movie starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot as DC Comics' greatest superheroes will be officially titled 'Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice.'
The title hints at the future "Justice League" movie sequel where Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman will lead a team of superheroes (Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, Green Arrow and Green Lantern to name a few) to potentially battle the powerful super villain group, the Legion of Doom in order to save the universe.
Film director Zack Snyder hinted in an interview how Batman and Superman will finally meet each other for the first time in cinema history.
"Maybe at the end of the second movie, some Kryptonite gets delivered to Bruce Wayne's house or something. Like in a cryptic way, that's the first time we see him. But then, once you say it out loud, right? You're in a story meeting talking about, like, who should (Superman) fight if he fought this giant alien threat Zod who was basically his equal physically, from his planet, fighting on our turf... You know, who to fight next?" said Snyder to Forbes magazine.
Last week, Snyder unveiled the first photo of Affleck as Batman and the brand new Batmobile from the upcoming film on social media.
"I shot this with my @Leica_Camera M Monochrom. #Batman #Batmobile #Gotham http://imgur.com/3hRU6px pic.twitter.com/p5DEf6fLzJ," wrote Snyder via Twitter.
The upcoming "Batman vs Superman" film stars Henry Cavill (Clark Kent aka Superman), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White) and Diane Lane (Martha Kent) from last year's "Man of Steel" movie.
In addition, new actors will also appear in the new Warner Bros. film, including Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor.
The "Batman vs. Superman" movie will appear in theaters on May 6, 2016. The "Justice League" film is rumored to appear in theaters on May 5, 2017.
