'Batman vs Superman' Movie News, Cast Update: Ben Affleck Trains for Role Before Receiving Batsuit 'Going For the Real-Life Superhero Look!'

Some new details were recently revealed regarding Ben Affleck training for his new role as Batman in the much anticipated "Batman vs. Superman" aka "Man of Steel 2" movie. In a Twitter Q & A session on April 1, Affleck's personal trainer Rehan Jalali told the fans via social media about the actor's preparation for the blockbuster film.

"Big muscular yet lean and good body symmetry!" wrote Jalali via Twitter last week. "Going for the Real-life superhero look!"

In addition, Jalali also wrote on his Twitter about his excitement about his client's progress.

"Batman is getting Large! He's working very hard! #Dedication #Excited #DarkKnight #BatFleck #TheSixPackDietPlan," wrote Jalali on his Twitter page on April 2 in reference to Affleck's rigorous training.

On April 3, Warner Bros. Pictures revealed that Holly Hunter, Tao Okamoto and Callan Mulvey will join the cast as new characters in the new film. The movie director Zack Snyder talked about the hiring of the Academy Award-winning star.

"Holly has always been one of my favorite actresses; she has immense talent and is always captivating on screen," said Snyder in a recent press release when he made the cast announcement.

The upcoming "Batman vs Superman" film stars Henry Cavill (Clark Kent aka Superman), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White) and Diane Lane (Martha Kent). In addition, new actors will also appear in the new Warner Bros. film, including Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor. The "Batman vs. Superman" movie will appear in theaters on May 6, 2016.
