'Batman vs Superman' Movie Cast Rumors: Ray Fisher Cast as Cyborg

Ray Fisher, the star who portrayed legendary boxer Muhammad Ali in the off-Broadway play "Fetch Clay, Make Man," has been cast as future Justice League member Cyborg in the upcoming 'Batman vs Superman' movie.

More accurately, Fisher is expected to start out as Victor Stone in a minor role in the 'Batman vs Superman' film before he later goes on to become the half-man, half robot superhero in the rumored "Justice League" movie spinoff.

Previously, part-time WWE superstar Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was rumored to play as Cyborg or Green Lantern in the sequel of the "Man of Steel" movie. Actor Henry Cavill (who plays Superman) thinks Fisher is a fantastic addition to the star-studded cast.

"I think he would create an incredible bridge between superheroes and humanity," said Cavill in a bonus feature video from the "Man of Steel" film in reference to the Cyborg character, according to Variety.

In other casting news, Warner Bros. Pictures revealed earlier this month that Holly Hunter, Tao Okamoto and Callan Mulvey will join the cast as new characters in the new film. Movie director Zack Snyder talked about the hiring of the Academy Award-winning star.

"Holly has always been one of my favorite actresses; she has immense talent and is always captivating on screen," said Snyder in a press release when he made the cast announcement.

The upcoming "Batman vs Superman" film stars Henry Cavill (Clark Kent aka Superman), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White) and Diane Lane (Martha Kent).

In addition, new actors will also appear in the new Warner Bros. film, including Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor.

The "Batman vs. Superman" movie will appear in theaters on May 6, 2016.
