In latest 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' movie news and rumors, Ben Affleck's 'Argo' co-star Scoot McNairy is rumored to be playing as future Justice League member The Flash in the forthcoming film.

The 36-year-old Dallas, Texas native was seen on set of the blockbuster film wearing green socks, which sparked reports that his feet were being used as part of CGI scenes due to The Flash's super speed power, according to a report by the Comic Book Movie.

The Batman-News website first posted the online photo of McNairy wearing the aforementioned socks backstage, which also ignited rumors that the actor might not be playing as the speedy DC Comics superhero in the movie.

According to an MTV website article, it speculates the '12 Years a Slave' actor would be instead be playing as the nefarious cyborg Metallo (aka John Corben), a Metropolis villain that is powered by Superman's greatest weakness: Kryptonite.

In other 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' news, the newest Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot, challenged her film director Zack Snyder, Kate Winslet and Lynda Carter (the legendary Wonder Woman from the popular 1970's TV series) to the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge in order to provide awareness to the illness also known as Lou Gehrig's disease (named after the late Yankee and MLB HOF who died on June 2, 1941).

"I Donated to ?#"ŽALS and took the ?#"ŽIceBucketChallenge I challenge Zack Snyder, Kate Winslet and the original ?#"ŽWonderWoman Lynda Carter," wrote Gadot via Twitter when she posted a video of herself taking the above-mentioned challenge.

The new 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' film stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White), Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Tao Okamoto, Callan Mulvey and Oscar Award winning actress Holly Hunter.

The 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' film is expected to arrive in movie theaters on March 25, 2016.
