Batman vs Superman Movie Cast Rumors: Emily Blunt Cast in Superman 2 Film

There are new reports that claim "The Devil Wears Prada" and "Edge of Tomorrow" actress Emily Blunt will appear in the upcoming 'Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice' movie.

In a monumental movie moment, the first time Batman, Superman, and Wonderwoman meet in film history, Blunt is rumored to play the role of Catwoman, Batman's dangerous love interest.

However, the Spanish website El Multicine claims Blunt's potential role has not been decided yet.

The website also claimed the 31-year-old British actress was originally considered to play Black Widow in the "Iron Man 2" film four years ago, but decided not to accept the role. As a result, that role was played by actress Scarlett Johansson.

El Multicine also claimed that Blunt was offered a role in "The Dark Knight" trilogy, but she apparently turned down that role as well.

In other Batman vs Superman news, one of Batman's greatest allies, Police Commissioner James Gordon is also rumored to make a cameo in the future film. The last actor to portray Commissioner Gordon in a Batman film was Gary Oldman in "The Dark Knight Rises" two years ago.

The new "Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice" film stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White) and Diane Lane (Martha Kent). Additionally, new actors will also appear in the new Warner Bros. movies, including Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Tao Okamoto, Callan Mulvey and Oscar Award winning actress Holly Hunter.

The "Batman vs. Superman" film is expected to arrive in movie theaters on May 6, 2016.
