Batman vs Superman Movie Cast News, Rumors: Arrow’s Stephen Amell Addresses Green Arrow Reports for ‘Dawn of Justice’ Film
In a new interview, Arrow's lead actor Stephen Amell addressed the rumors that suggest the actor will reprise his role as Green Arrow in the future film starring Ben Affleck and Henry Cavil.
"Hey Guys -- I appreciate all the support and enthusiasm, but not everything I post is a cryptic indicator that I'm going to be in Batman V Superman," wrote Amell via Facebook on July 3, "I'm not going to be in Batman V Superman.
The 33-year-old Toronto native further addressed his alleged role in the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice movie.
"As an aside... The next time that I either do a video or an interview with a journalist that I like, I'll be happy to explain why this is the case. Short form - it's not a barometer on ability or the quality of genre - TV V Film, no pun intended. Everything here boils down to logistics," posted Amell.
In the same Facebook post, Amell also showed gratitude to the fans who have supported the TV series since its debut in 2012, "In any event... thank you for how much support you've showed me. But keep in mind, playing Arrow on television isn't a consolation prize. We play the definitive versions of our characters in the DC Universe," wrote Amell.
The Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice film stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White) and Diane Lane (Martha Kent).
In addition, the list of stars that will also appear in the new Warner Bros. movie is as follows: Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Callan Mulvey, Tao Okamoto (rumored to play Luthor's personal assistant, bodyguard and hit woman Mercy Graves), and Oscar Award winning actress Holly Hunter.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is expected to arrive in movie theaters on May 6, 2016.
