Batman vs Superman Movie Cast News: Leonardo DiCaprio, Aaron Paul in 'Joker' Rumors for 'Man of Steel' Sequel
Batman vs Superman - the unofficial title being given to the sequel to the 2013 film "Man of Steel" has had new rumors circulating around it, with cast news revolving around who will play The Joker.
The Joker is the biggest rogue that Batman has ever faced, and is also one of the most sought-after roles. Jack Nicholson played a definitive version of Joker, and Heath Ledger's portrayal of the Clown Prince of Crime will never be forgotten.
Warner has been more effective in keeping their casting news a secret as compared to Marvel or Fox. Jesse Eisenberg being cast was not foreseen and the role of Batman had plenty of candidates. However, experts never considered Ben Affleck as The Caped Crusader at any point.
There are no doubt things happening behind the scenes for the film. Agents are calling studios, production people are observing potential costs, and there are certainly actors who have no idea they are being talked about for prospective roles that could change their careers forever.
Reports have been hinting that Warner is perhaps writing Joker into the script, they also proposed a few names including Leonardo DiCaprio and "Breaking Bad" star Aaron Paul.
DiCaprio's performance as Calvin Candie in Quentin Tarantino's film "Django Unchained" showed that he could be just as ruthless as any character that exists in the world of superheroes.
With or without Joker, the "Batman Vs. Superman" movie will appear in theaters on May 6, 2016.
