Batman vs Superman Movie Cast News: Gary Oldman Says Upcoming 'Dawn of Justice' Film Has Some 'Big Shoes to Fill' (VIDEO)

In a new interview, The Dark Knight Rises actor Gary Oldman revealed that the new Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice movie will have a very difficult time matching the success of The Dark Knight film trilogy. Both 'Dark Knight' films starred Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, and Christian Bale in the lead role as Gotham City's greatest hero.

"They want to keep it going. Of course they do. But, it's Superman yeah? Batman and Superman together? We shall see," said Oldman to Yahoo! Movies.

Oldman also talked about the differences between the three Batman films he recently starred in and the latest reboot which stars Ben Affleck as the new Caped Crusader.

"The thing about [film director Christopher] Nolan, there was some grounding of reality to it. In our trilogy, and as fantastical and as big as The Joker was, it was based [on reality]... we could relate to it. But now we've got a Batman and we've got a guy who can fly who's an alien?! We'll have to see, it's got big shoes to fill," said Oldman.

The 56-year-old British actor also revealed that he is not bitter about reprising his role of Commissioner James Gordon in the future movie.

"I don't mind," said Oldman, "We had our moment in sun."

The new Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice film stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White), Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Tao Okamoto, Callan Mulvey and Oscar Award winning actress Holly Hunter.

The 'Batman vs. Superman' film is expected to arrive in movie theaters on May 6, 2016.
