'Batman v Superman' News, Release Date, Cast Rumors: Aquaman to Join 'Dawn of Justice' Movie

Several details and spoilers have already been released about the upcoming superhero showdown, 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice'. The film has already been slated with a release date of March 25, 2016.

According to reports, the latest superhero flick from DC Comics will not only be showcasing Batman and Superman, but apparently Aquaman is on board the highly anticipated film too.

Rumors suggest that the role of Aquaman has been awarded to Hawaiian actor Jason Momoa, while it has long been confirmed that Bruce Wayne and Batman will no longer be portrayed by Oscar Award-winning actor Christian Bale, but by former 'Daredevil' Ben Affleck instead.

Henry Cavill will be playing Clark Kent and Superman in the Zack Snyder directed movie.

Reports recently published suggest that based on supposed teasers from the 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' movie, Aquaman is set to appear in the film looking like a surfer covered in tattoos.

Several alleged clips taken from the movie's set were supposedly leaked online, showcasing Batman's Batmobile, which will be seen in action in the upcoming movie.

According to reports, 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' will also encompass fight scenes taking place on boats, which is only but natural as Aquaman's powers are all water based.

Amy Adams also stars in 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' as Lois Lane, together with Gal Gadot as Diana Prince and Wonder Woman, and Jeremy Irons as Bruce Wayne's personal butler, Alfred.
