'Batman v Superman' Movie Spoilers and Cast Update: New Leaked Set Photos, Affleck Stands Over Tombstone In a Cemetery?
The latest photographs taken on the set of director Zack Snyder's upcoming movie 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' shows Bruce Wayne in a cemetery. While these leaked spoiler photos have fans excited, they also leave fans asking questions.
Fans are already aware of the fact that Batman does not prefer going out during the daytime, and therefore, his presence in the cemetery hints that they may be something important for Bruce Wayne there. The photographs, in fact, revealed that the scene is depressing as well as serious.
The photograph posted in on the Superman Homepage also illustrates that the 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' crew and cast were filming in a place called Smallville Cemetery, which is in fact a great touch in integrating the worlds of Superman and Batman.
In the said photograph, Affleck can be seen swearing a suit and standing over a tombstone, seemingly somber.
Recently, the British actor Henry Cavill tweeted saying that he, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, and Laurence Fishburne were also present on the same set. This may possibly denote that the tombstone over which Ben Afflick is standing could be of Clark Kent's father Jonathan Kent. It was mentioned that Jonathan's tombstone is in that cemetery.
On the other hand, as of now there is no confirmation that the tombstone where the filming was taking place is that of Jonathan. A report by Cinema Blend claims that it is doubtful that the cast were shooting around Jonathan's grave, because it is "ill-timed" even if one considers that Bruce and Clark were trying to be friends.
If that report is to be believed, another important person is likely to die in the movie - a person who is important enough to make all those people come together in the cemetery.
However, Cinema Blend also takes into consideration the fact that 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' is not about killing off characters. On the contrary, the film is about adding new characters. Nevertheless, the website has made a wild speculation that Scoot McNairy being be killed off in the movie.
Meanwhile, it may be noted that 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' is scheduled for release on March 25, 2016. Although there is enough time before the movie is released, rumors state that the first trailer may be released this year.
