'Batman v Superman' Movie News: Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck to Star, 4 New Villains to Feature
Even though the Man of Steel's mash-up movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits the big screens May 6, 2016, several news reports are already surfacing in regards to its cast members and story plot.
Since Marvel has been successful with their movie franchise, most notably The Avengers, DC comics is gearing up their own superheroes for their spotlight on the big screen. DC Comic fans can expect to see their favorite characters like Batman and Superman portrayed like never before in the upcoming 2016 film.
The plot of the upcoming movie is still hidden from the public, but the title suggests what's to be expected. It just seems strange that the Dark Knight and the Man of Steel will battle against each other considering both characters fight for the common good. If that's the case then they may actually be facing each other in some sort of heated dispute. Director Zach Snyder has warned the fans that the "v" in the title was used instead of the traditional 'vs.' "to keep it from being a straight 'versus' movie, even in the most subtle way," he told USA Today.
Just recently, Warner Bros. revealed a photo of Henry Cavill as Clark Kent, which confirms that he will assume the role of Superman. Additionally, reports claim that Ben Affleck will play Batman in the upcoming blockbuster. According to reports, Superman and will continue to learn how to live up to his destiny while also trying to find his place on Earth with humanity. It will be a cinematic movie since Superman will also be burdened with problems in his new environment, Gotham city, where Batman is traditionally stationed for justice.
USA Today, which is the media outlet with which Warner Bros. revealed the photo said, "'Dawn of Justice' continues to immerse Superman on Earth by working at the Daily Planet as Clark Kent along with Lois Lane (Amy Adams) and Perry White (Laurence Fishburne). But it also takes him to new environments such as Gotham City and introduces larger threats, including Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg). The debuting heroes Superman meets will affect his perspective on Earth and on the ones he loves, and Snyder feels his convictions will be drawn into question as well."
Fans can already see how exciting the movie could be and according to rumors, there will be four villains in the upcoming motion picture. The film is currently in its pre-production stage and according to the producers, the cast is already working out to have a buff look on screen.
