Batman Arkham Knight Xbox One Release Date: Game Will Arrive in Stores February 2015 (VIDEO)
Originally, Microsoft's official website stated that their upcoming title, Batman: Arkham Knight, would release on February 24, 2014, for the PS4 and Xbox One. Since then, it appears as though Microsoft has removed the release date and changed the listing to "Not Announced".
In addition, longtime and world-renowned Batman: The Animated Series voice actor Kevin Conroy (he has voiced Bruce Wayne/Batman for over two decades since the aforementioned cartoon debut in 1992) stated in an interview that the upcoming game would be released earlier next year, but in January instead of February.
"I have a massive game you may have heard of called Arkham Knight," said Conroy to Groovey.TV at the Denver Comic-Con last week, "It was supposed to come out in January, we've been working on it for a year and a half, it's still not done. So it's going to come out next January, but I know everyone is frustrated. The reason it's been delayed is because it's so awesome."
At one point, Rocksteady Studios had projected a very early release date of October 14, 2014 for Batman: Arkham Knight on the PS4 and Xbox One, but was postponed because the game did not even brush upon the nessecary standards.
"We just want to make this the best experience that we can, and that takes time," said Rocksteady Studios marketing manager Guy Perkins to GameSpot.
"We feel that we have an absolutely awesome game in the works, and we want to make it as great as it possibly can be. We just need more time to do that. If we didn't give the team more time to do it, then we would be releasing something that we weren't happy with. We want to make sure we're absolutely nailing it 100 percent."
Batman: Arkham Knight will arrive in American stores for the Xbox One, PS4 and the PC in early next year, possibly in January or February 2015.
