Batman Arkham Knight Announced for PS4, Xbox One, and PC; Trailer Released (VIDEO)
WB has now officially announced Arkham Knight as the latest installment in the Batman Arkham series, according to several confirmed reports. According to Game Informer, the Batmobile is will finally a primary element of the gameplay.
In addition, a completely brand new area of Gotham City will be added to the game. The newest version of Gotham is expected to much bigger than Arkham City's game version.
Moreover, the newest game will have much broader streets to provide accommodations for the new driving gameplay that is intended to integrate effortlessly with Batman's gliding and grappling ability. Furthermore, Batman will battle some super villains from the franchise's legendary rogue's gallery: Scarecrow, Penguin, Two-Face, Harley Quinn to name a few.
According to Ign, the game will takes place one year following the events of the Arkham City game.
"This is the natural end for the story. We really want to go out in style," said Game director Sefton Hill in the Ign report.
This will be the third Batman game by Rocksteady, the studio behind Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. Last year's Arkham Origins was developed by WB Montreal.
According to Kotaku, reports have surfaced regarding Rocksteady's upcoming Batman game for quite some time now, after legendary Batman: The Animated Series voice actor Kevin Conroy by mistake mentioned that he was working on an Arkham game that was not Origins. According to Kotaku, GameStop began receiving marketing materials for the new Batman: Arkham Knight game since last week.
Arkham Knight will be available for PC, Xbox One, and PS4 later this year.
