Barcelona FC Luis Suarez will face his former team Ajax Amsterdam when both sides face off in the Group Stage match on Wednesday afternoon.

Suarez spent nearly four years (from 2007-2010) with the aforementioned team from the Netherlands, now the former Ajax captain looks to make an impact in his first Champion League tournament (as a member of Barcelona).

Previously, Suarez was suspended for four months after the Uruguayan striker infamously bit Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini at the at the 2014 World Cup Group stage round on June 24.

Barcelona defensive midfielder Sergio Busquets talked about the upcoming battle between both teams, after Barcelona defeated Ajax in the first leg by a final score 3-1 on October 21.

"They came out strong and were all over us at the start of the game." said Busquets to reporters.

"With the sending off and our goal, everything changed. I hope it doesn't happen again."

Meanwhile, Ajax is looking to defeat their home field versus the Spanish squad when Suarez returns to Amsterdam ArenA in order to battle his former team on Wednesday afternoon.

"We need to have respect for any team, but that doesn't mean we're scared. We always play confidently, whether that's in training or league matches, and now we have to apply the same to the Champions League," said Ajax manager Frank De Boer to reporters.

"Suárez will think of the Arena being partly his own stadium. This is where he started making a name for himself."
