Real Madrid, Barcelona Transfer News: Luis Saurez Could Leave Liverpool
Real Madrid is back to its old games, according to new rumors. This time, the Spanish soccer team has unleashed its old strategy to mount pressure on Liverpool and force through the sale of their star forward Luis Suarez.
According to new transfer rumors the Madrid team will be looking to coerce the Uruguayan national footballer to join their team and leave the English Premier League team, which failed on the final day of the season to secure its first Premier League title since the early 90s.
Madrid, which failed to win the La Liga crown and now face Atletico Mardrid in the Champions League Final clash, is reported to have resorted to tactics to let their interest be known. Analysts are saying the reports could unsettle Suarez and put pressure on Liverpool to sell their star striker. Real Madrid have been said to have used similar pressure tactics before, luring Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United after reports were constantly leaked into the media over the course of two or more seasons about their interest to sign him.
Madrid is not only persuading Liverpool to sell Suarez, but also trying to coerce the footballer to join them instead of another potential suitor - rivals Barcelona, who are also reportedly interested in the Liverpool player.
Experts are of the view that this may push Saurez's value in the transfer market to £100 million (roughly US $1,683,567) and if this happens, Liverpool may find it difficult to keep hold of their star footballer.
It is believed that if Suarez desires to move to Real Madrid or Barcelona, there is a release clause figure built into his contract, and that could result in him leaving whether Liverpool want to keep him or not.
If Suarez ultimately leaves Liverpool, it will possibly be the biggest transfer of this summer. However, the potential transfer will only take place only after the forthcoming 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
