Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger who've been married for a little over a year now are starting to get pegged with some rumors about an alleged divorce on the way.

The Nickelback frontman has reportedly been vocal about the impending end of his marriage with Lavigne.

"He has been going around L.A. telling people that they are divorcing," a source told Us Weekly.

Kroeger's 29-year-old wife, on the other hand, was spotted partying at Chateau Marmont on Aug. 29, not wearing the diamond ring from her husband.

Reports say that Lavigne and Kroeger have been fighting a lot and are having issues in their relationship.

"The main issue is this: When they met, they were in work mode. They were doing collaboration and that's where the attraction stemmed from. She was in the studio and he was producing her. She was also coming off some bad relationships where she didn't really feel appreciated as an artist. She felt she and Chad connected on that level," a source explained to E! News.

Now that the collaboration is over, the couple is said to be arguing over a lot of things.

"The album didn't do as well as they had hoped...they're finding that they're not seeing eye to eye on a lot of things," added the source.

Apparently, trust and insecurity are two of the issues that the couple has to deal with in their marriage.

"There's jealousy on both sides. She flirts, he flirts. She's very insecure to begin with," the source continued.

Friends of both Lavigne and Kroeger are reportedly worried about what's in store for the couple's marriage.

"I don't know what's going to happen. She really wants to have a baby. She was hoping, after this album, to take time off and start a family," a source told E! News.

Despite the unclear future for the two musicians, the source says the couple still has a chance to resolve their problems.

"I think for now they're going to try to work it out," the source added.
