'Avengers: Age of Ultron' New Trailer News: Second Teaser Video - Trouble on the Horizon
After developing into a cohesive team of superheroes to beat an alien invasion in New York during the first 'Avengers' movie, the second trailer for 'Avengers: Age of Ultron', which premiered during ESPN's broadcast of the College Football National Championship Game, shows thickening tensions among the team of superheroes in the face of a new threat from a mega-villain.
The trailer's musical score furthered the first trailer's nervous vibe for the Avengers team, which also featured a bevy of explosions and crashing vehicles to go along with the Hulk, Tony Stark/Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow, all going through all sorts of struggles.
The trailer still doesn't reveal a lot about mega-villain Ultron (voiced by James Spader), who is heard during the trailer saying, "I'm going to tear you apart from the inside," suggesting an aided internal struggle for the Avengers.
The movie is set after the grand battle in New York featured in the 2012 Avengers movie, Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.) goes on to establish a new planetary defense system in place of S.H.I.E.L.D. This is when the psychotic alien robot Ultron comes in to thwart the billionaire's plans, and then some.
Or as Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) says in the second trailer, "No matter who wins or loses, trouble always comes around."
'Avengers: Age of Ultron' is directed by Joss Whedon, and reunites Chris Evans (Captain America), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Mark Ruffalo (The Hulk), and Scarlett Johannson (Black Widow).
The second Avengers movie will see Marvel Studios debuting a few new characters"”Vision, Quicksilver, and the Scarlet Witch, to be played by Paul Bettany, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Elizabeth Olsen, respectively.
'Avengers: Age of Ultron', as seen in the trailers will also be debuting Tony Stark's "Hulkbuster" suit.
The movie opens in North America on May 1, and hits Australia and the U.K. on April 24.
