Avengers 3 2018 Release Date: New Director & New Cast, Plus a Guardians of the Galaxy Crossover?

Comic book movies are surging their way onto cinema screens as film franchises like Iron Man and Captain America, as well as the compilation film, Avengers debut.

In 2015, 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' will be making its premiere in various theaters around the world, but even as the second installment to the Avengers franchise hasn't been released yet, people are already looking forward to a third Avengers movie.

Marvel and Disney have already disclosed information about the release date, the cast, as well as new changes to the third installment to the comic book-movie franchise.

The premiere date is most likely the first week of May 2018, originally a date laid out for Amazing Spider-Man 4. The date however, is more inclined towards the Avengers since the date follows the trend of the previous Avengers releases. The first Avengers came out in May of 2012, while the Age of Ultron will come out the same month in 2015, three years later.

There are also rumors about the third Avengers having a new director. People are sure that Joss Whedon, director of the last two Avenger movies, won't be coming back for the third one, since no director has worked with Marvel more than twice.

The only confirmed rumor running for the third Avengers is that Robert Downey Jr. will be returning as Tony Stark/Iron Man. This is however, the last time he will play as the superhero. The third Avengers will also be experiencing a drastic cast change, as other Marvel personalities will be making their appearance.

The movie will also be doing a crossover with the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' characters like Peter Quill/Star-Lord. There are also rumors of Spider-Man making a similar crossover.
